Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

When your pelvic floor doesn’t feel quite right

It might be a leak when you laugh or run.
A heavy feeling, like something’s “falling.”
Pain you didn’t expect.
Or an urge to dash to the loo that’s quietly become part of daily life.

You’re not broken and you’re definitely not alone. These are incredibly common issues that women just don’t talk about. My job is to properly assess what’s happening and give you a clear, practical way forward that actually works for you.

You are not alone - really

Around one in three women experience urinary incontinence or similar bladder control issues at some point in their lives, and up to half of women show some degree of pelvic organ prolapse on examination (nhs.uk nice.org.uk). Yet so many believe it’s just an inevitable part of aging, becoming a mother or the menopause - it isn’t. These are signs your body is asking for support, not proof that it’s failing you.

I discovered my passion for women’s health physiotherapy after experiencing my own symptoms following my first baby. I know from both personal and clinical experience that with the right guidance, things can get so much better, often more easily than you think. Often more easily than you think.

What I can help with

Pelvic health physiotherapy can support women experiencing:

  • Stress or urge urinary incontinence (leaks with coughing, sneezing, exercise, or urgency)

  • Pelvic organ prolapse or a sensation of heaviness or dragging

  • Pelvic pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen, hips, or back

  • Changes around perimenopause or menopause that affect comfort, strength, or control

No referral needed, just a decision that it’s time to do something about it.

What to expect

Your initial pelvic health physiotherapy assessment (60 minutes) gives us space to talk through everything you’re experiencing and what matters most to you. We’ll look at posture, breathing, movement, and lifestyle, so you leave understanding what’s going on and how to begin improving it.

An internal assessment can offer the most accurate picture of how your pelvic floor is functioning. It’s always your choice, done only with full consent and never rushed. We can start your recovery plan with or without it, and revisit later if you choose.

Follow-up physiotherapy sessions focus on practical, tailored strategies: pelvic floor training, breathwork, relaxation, movement patterns, and the lifestyle changes that make a  big difference.

Why it matters

Private pelvic health physiotherapy gives you more than a treatment plan, it gives you time, privacy, and space to actually talk.

My clinic at The Space in Burston just outside of Diss, Norfolk is calm, relaxed, and private. Conversations flow easily, often about things you might never have said out loud before.

Evidence-based practice meets empathy because healing happens best when you feel comfortable, informed and supported.

Your next step

You don’t have to live with leaks, pain, or heaviness and you certainly don’t have to navigate them alone. With the right guidance, your body can change.

Book your 1‑hour Pelvic Health Assessment at The Space, Burston in Diss or get in touch if you’re not quite ready and want to ask a few questions first. Either way, you’ll be heard, respected, and supported from the very start.
